50+ years in Southwestern Pennsylvania

Local parents and community professionals formed an information & referral service committee for children with cerebral palsy. Two employees were hired on West Wheeling Street in Washington, PA.
1962
The committee was chartered as United Cerebral Palsy of Washington County.
1964
The organization expanded to include Washington, Greene, and Fayette Counties, becoming United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of Southwestern Pennsylvania.
1967
Adult programs launched in Washington, PA.
1973
UCP of Southwestern Pennsylvania served 125 children and adults with disabilities.
1988
Independent Living and Home & Community programs launched.
1998
The Adult Training Facility opened in Waynesburg, PA.
2003
Your Child’s Place, a pediatric care center, and Recreation Station, a creative play center, opened in Washington, PA.
2007
The organization became PathWays of Southwestern Pennsylvania.
2009
Early Intervention services started in Fayette County. Agency With Choice program started.
2011
Over 1900 employees serve more than 1600 families across Southwestern Pennsylvania.
