Every July, Disability Pride Month is an opportunity to recognize the strength, individuality, and contributions of people with disabilities. At PathWays, it’s a reflection of our mission. Every day, we’re committed to empowering individuals to live meaningful lives, make their own choices, and reach their fullest potential through compassionate, person-centered support.

One of the ways we bring that mission to life is through our Behavioral Supports program. Each person’s journey begins with an intake meeting, followed by a Functional Behavior Assessment and an individualized Behavior Support Plan. We also provide caregiver training, crisis prevention planning, and ongoing collaboration with families and support teams to ensure strategies remain consistent and effective.

Behavioral Supports help individuals build communication, emotional regulation, coping, problem-solving, social, and daily living skills while using positive, evidence-based strategies and ongoing data analysis to measure progress and adjust supports as needs change.

Our goal is to improve health, safety, independence, and overall quality of life by reducing challenging behaviors, teaching meaningful replacement skills, minimizing restrictive interventions, and giving caregivers the confidence to support long-term success.

This Disability Pride Month, PathWays proudly celebrates the unique strengths and achievements of the individuals we serve. We’re honored and committed to building communities where everyone is valued, respected, and empowered.
