Individuals and staff from the Adult Training Facilities in Washington and Greene County recently took part in a fun and colorful project: painting a derby car for the West Alexander Fair!
The car was decorated with handprints using the different colors found in the PathWays knot design. Individuals were able to choose a color, have their palm painted, and add their own handprint directly to the car. The front hood and back of the car also feature the PathWays logo, along with additional PathWays-inspired designs on the top.
This project gave individuals the chance to take part in a creative, hands-on activity while working together to create something that represents the PathWays community. Staff helped coordinate the painting process and made sure everyone could participate safely and comfortably.
With all of the handprints, logos, and colorful details now in place, the finished derby car is ready to make its appearance at the West Alexander Fair.
